My post is a analysis post about the hunger games. In my post peta is waiting for something bad to happen so that the cannon goes off and that someone will die and katniss is basically saying nothing is going to happen tonite because if anything where to happen it would of happened already. One of the requirments for the analysis post is that you need to cite strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis. I did this because I got a quote and analysized  what it was about and what they where they saying and that was what you had to do.You also needed to draw a inference from the text and I did I said that "Peeta is on edge all the time and the suspence of waiting for that cannon to go off is the only thing he can think about."

 

 

I have many goals for reading next timester. In this trimester I spent most of the time only reading the hunger games but next trimester I want to read the rest of the triolgy or at least start and finsh catching fire before I see the movie. Next trimester for wrighting I hope to try to use a bigger vocabulary when I am wrighting most of the time when I am wrighting I am using simpler and smaller word in my work But hope to be more articulate. Areas of improvment for me in reading is reading more challenging books and using my some comprehention skills to understand the book better. Areas in improvment for me in wrigting is that I should probualy work on my spelling and you have probauly already caught some spelling errors in this paragraph that I have not caught.

 

 

 

 

This is a picture of some of the actors of the hunger games in the movie i just like the picture because it is exactly the oppiste of what they would of been like in the movie and book.

Analysis

"There won't be anything to see tonite ," I say, far more iterested in the stew than the sky. "Nothing's happned or would've heard a cannon."(Collins 308) What is going on is that katniss is talking to peta because peta thinks that some thing bad is going to happen to night but katniss says if something bad where to happen then it would already happen and the cannon has not went off yet symbalising that someone has died. A inference I can draw from this text is that it seems like Peeta is on edge all the time and the suspence of waiting for that cannon to go off is the only thing he can think about.

Tone /mood

The tone of the book is dangerous I know this because the have to fight to the death in the arena and that is not a very cheerful cituation. The mood of the book is suspenseful because when I was reading the book I would be in suspense on what is going to happen next. A example in the book katniss used the tone of the book to persway others is when it was just her and petta left and they just realized that there is know two people winning anymore if there from they are from the same district because they swiched the rules at the last second. katniss and peta came together because they scenced danger if they did not, which they would of been right if they fought it would of been dangerous because they would of killed eachother. 

Character

 In the book the hunger games there are many characters in the book in the begging in the book all the charcters where not as on edge as they where during the end/middle part. That is because in the middle/end of the book they are fighting for there lives and that would make scence why they where not so friendly as they where in the begging of the book. The way they interact with charcters is diffrent as i partly said before they are fighting for there lives in the middle/end of the book so they would only interact with violence as for the begging of the book they would interact semi normaly. They make the theme because it about fighting and the will to survive and that is ecactly what they are doing.

Ross CC Meet

I ran at the Ross cc meet a couple of days ago. It was a tuesday meet which i did not like at all and neither did the rest of my team, the main reason we run at the ross meet is that the head coach there is coach Weeler and he is the mms track and field distance coach and he was really cool and got people to like running which is pretty hard to do. When I stated my race I am alway nervous no matter if it is a big meet or not but when the gun goes off all the nerves are gone. I did pretty googd in my race I got 2nd place overall in my race and mason won the meet by a land slide and got 1st place all the way to like 20th place and the race had roughly 150 people in it. 

Book Recommendation

      I am going to recommend the book the hungr games. In my oppion it was a very good book with alot of actions scenes you really got to know the charcters well. I also like the book because unlike the movie she was using here survivalist skills alot more they did not have alot of those scenes they really only showed you scenes that you needed to see to understand what is going on. Another reason is that you really got to know katniss alot more in the book than in the movie because the book is in first person you get to really know what is going through here head when stuff is happening like when she is fighting people but the to give the movie credit it did probualy the it could for being a movie. And that was 2 of the major reasons why i would reommend this book to people that have not read it before.              

          Here is a clip from the movie when her sister was chosen to represent district 12 but she volenteered as tribute instead. And where Peta was chosen as well.

 A prediction that I am going make in the hunger games is that she will win the hunger games but there will be some type of twist that know one will see coming. One question for me is why does she having a random flash back every once and while. A example of text to world example in the hunger games is this book takes place in the us or the ruins of the us really. In the book there are rich people and there are poor people some dying of starvation and in our version of the us there also rich people and poor peple to some also dying from starvation luckily the hunger games is a much more extreme verison of that though. A example of text to text is in the hunger games Katniss needs to fight for here life in the hunger games and in ths other book that i read A Long Way Gone he if fighting to stay alive in sierra and do some fightng as well just to get by. A example of text to self is it seems like in the hunger games they have a pretty messed up and corupt government going on and in our government they are making some bad decisions and doing some pretty messed up stuff to. That is some thing that not just i can relate to also most people in the united states or any one that has been watching the new and has seen what is going one.  

        This is one of my favorite scenes from the movie. This is the scene when Katniss goes to get sponsores and get rated on here deadlyness and she shoots the apple in the roasted pigs mouth.

Theme and Summary redo

In the book the hunger games the there is a girl named Katniss Everdeen she lives in district 12. Every year they hae this thing called the hunger games and they pick two tributes from each district one boy and one girl and they fight to the death in this futuristic arena then the one who survises is the winner. Katniss was not picked here sister was picked but she volenteared to take here place on in the hunger games which was a first time ever to happen. Out of all the districts the lowrer number district are the richer ones and the higher number ones are poorer. The people in some of the lower districts they train the kids there whole life so if they picked they are almost guarenteed to win it. The one reason she is fit to be in the hunger games is here extremely good ablity to fire a arrow which she used to impress the rich people who watch and rate here on here deadlyness.The theme of this book in my oppion is that if come together anything is possible. A way it was shaped and refined over the course of the story is during the book she comes out of her comfort zone to do thing that will impact here life. A example of this is when it was just here peter left in the hunger games and where going to eat the poison berrys if they did not let them live this fits my theme by because they need to come together to do the what seems like the impossible.
